Kops Park is a quiet park tucked inside a residential neighborhood. With an open grass area for kids to run and play, it is a place you can bring the whole family to. The park offers a wonderful playground and even a wading pool for infants. With two softball diamonds and a disc golf course, there is outdoor activity to entertain all ages.
Cooper Park

Cooper is a wonderful park with a playground, bathrooms, and a pavilion. Cooper offers a reservable picnic area, and the athletic fields are available for reservation too. Located five blocks West of Eighty-First Street Elementary School, Cooper is a great place to take the kids after school to burn off some energy. With Subway and Bunzei’s Meat Market just a couple blocks over on Burleigh Street, Cooper is the perfect spot to stop before you pick up lunch or dinner.
Hansen Park

Hansen Park is conveniently located inside the Hansen Park Golf Course. Right off North Avenue, the paved Oak Leaf Trail winds around the Menomonee River providing a gorgeous walking path during the summer and even better cross-country ski trails during the winter.
Hoyt Park

On the other side of Swan Boulevard is Hoyt Park. Continued from Hansen park is the Oak Leaf Trail, as well as the Forked Aster Hiking Trail. Besides the soccer fields and playground, Hoyt Park also features a sand volleyball court and a beer garden. This weekend does not have to be another one spent at the bars; round your friends up and kick back with a beer and serve up some volleys at Hoyt Park.
Currie Dog Park

Currie Dog Park is located within Currie Park, right off Menomonee River Parkway. With an annual Dog Park Pass, you will have access to Currie and six other parks every day of the week all year long. Allow your puppy to run free at this off-leash dog park from five in the morning to ten o’clock at night. What makes Currie exceptional is that there are separate fenced areas for small dogs and large dogs. With dog poop bagging stations, you never have to worry about showing up empty-handed and leaving your dogs’ waste lying on the ground. With designated areas for water bowls, you can play assuredly knowing your dog will not get dehydrated. The patches of trees with small trails make a great spot for you and your dog to slow down and wander the woods inside the city.
